Marcy and her late husband Earl purchased in 1989 what was then known as the Getaway Inn. After remodeling and renaming the restaurant, "Serenity's', opened in April, 1990. The food served soon gained a reputation as a fine dining experience with service to match.

It was a natural consideration to add lodging and the beautiful cabins were built in 1995. To accentuate the privacy of the cabins a novel idea was born to serve guests a lovely barbecue dinner at their cabin door. It remains today as of the most special things at Serenity's.

A tragic fire on Feb. 4th, 2004 in the night destroyed the very building that contained the restaurant and personal living quarter's on the second floor. This structure had been meaningful to the community for so many events through the years both large and small. After a time of reflection Marcy made the decision to rebuild and so on July 22, 2005 the new and beautiful restaurant opened, this time with ecxlusive outside seating for approvimately 80 guests. Complete with a new wine garden patio restaurant, accented with 2 waterfalls and a view of Mt Adams, Serenity's is a special place to Stay, Dine and Play when planning a visit to Mt Adams' Country.
